"DURING OUR CONCERTS OUR PUBLIC DON'T TRAVEL. WE BRING THEM THE WORLD ON STAGE"

Seven instruments so rarely present together on the same stage. Even then, so difficult "to tame" to play together.

Seven amazing musicians, each one master of its instrument. Like Seven Seas to sail our mutual dreams & show how small the world is!

Nguyên Lê (electric guitar), Gilles Apap (violin)

Mieko Miyazaki (koto, voice), Myriam Lafargue (accordion),
Prabhu Edouard (tabla, voice), Ludovit Kovac (cymbalom),

    Philippe Noharet (double bass).

    A LONG AWAITED PROJECT

    OF TWO LIFETIME FRIENDS

For some music lovers, this is a dream becoming true: the meeting of Nguyên Lê & Gilles Apap, two unclassifiable figures of living music, who have always struggled against being pigeonholed, in favor of crossing every kind of border.

Actually, it’s even more than those two musicians meeting: it’s the fusion of the two favorite bands each one has created, the Saiyuki trio with koto & tablas, and the quatuor Colors of Invention, with accordion, double-bass & cymbalom.

Gifted with roots from Vietnam, Japan & India, Saiyuki is the symbol of a sound beyond Asia, where the virtuosity of the musicians blurs the limits between Traditional music & Jazz.

Colors of Invention is a chamber orchestra that celebrates with as much equality & joy as Vivaldi, Ravel, Bartok as well as Celtic, Bluegrass, or Tzigane music.

Each band is already an incredible meeting of instruments, styles & cultures, but both bands together deliver a truly outstanding representation of what could be global music, full of dialogues & complementarities, surprises & humor.

  • Gilles Apap, Myriam Lafargue, Ludovit Kovac, Mieko Miyazaki, Philippe Noharet, Nguyên Lê, Prabhu Edouard
