POWERFUL SOLO PIANO. AMAZING IN CONCERTS WITH ORCHESTRAS
THREE TIMES AT JAZZHEAD! SHOWCASE (2015, 2017, 2022)

"ODESA" - a musical walk through a legendary city

Vadim Neselovskyi's new project takes the listener on an imaginary tour around its hometown, filled with memories, historical references, flashbacks, and dreams… In a way, it is inspired by Mussorgsky’s famous suite.

Vadim is born and raised in Odesa, a gorgeous harbor city on the Black Sea that few Westerners heard about before the war in Ukraine. Some heard of this city because of Eisenstein’s film “Battleship Potemkin”, some know it as the birthplace of violinist David Oistrakh, and some know that Odessa was a very important center of Jewish life at the beginning of the 20th century.

"One of the greatest pianists/composers out there right now." FRED HERSCH

New Yorker by adoption, Vadim Neselovskyi was the youngest student ever admitted to the Odesa Conservatory at the age of 15. He continued his studies in the United States at Berklee College of Music, during which time he appeared with his colleagues Esperanza Spalding and Christian Scott, on an album produced by Pat Metheny.

His first solo album was produced in 2013 by the legendary Fred Hersch and received 4 stars in Downbeat. He has four active albums as a leader and songwriter.

The last one, "Odesa" just appeared this year, in April 2022.
